Dr. Lucio Milanese from Proxima Fusion is Co-Founder and COO of the Munich-based fusion energy startup, spun out of the Max Planck Institute for Plasma Physics. He leads efforts to develop stellarator-based fusion power plants, building on advancements from Wendelstein 7-X. With a Ph.D. from MIT, his research focused on commercial fusion viability. Dr. Milanese combines strong analytical skills, independent thinking, and leadership experience to drive Proxima Fusion’s mission toward clean, limitless energy.
