Dr. Yeong-Kook Oh from Korea Institute of Fusion Energy (KFE) holds a PhD in nuclear engineering from Seoul National University. Since joining KFE in 2005, he has held pivotal roles including Head of the Fusion Engineering Research Division and Vice President of the National Fusion Research Institute. Recognizing fusion energy's potential for achieving carbon neutrality and bolstering energy security, he advocates for accelerated global efforts towards fusion energy commercialization and private sector involvement in the field.
