Prof. Dr. Pete Baeten from SCK CEN and Vice President of SNETP is an expert in nuclear reactor physics and technology. He lectures at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel and the University of Hasselt. With a PhD in Nuclear Engineering, he has overseen major research reactors and served as MYRRHA Technical Manager. Since 2022, he has been the Director-General of SCK CEN. Prof. Baeten also represents Belgium in numerous nuclear science committees and is actively involved in the development of sustainable nuclear energy.
