Prof. Dr. Hamid Aït Abderrahim (Director) from MYRRHA, is a Nuclear Engineer and Reactor Physicist with extensive experience in nuclear energy production and research. He focuses on Generation IV reactors, advanced closed nuclear fuel cycles, and nuclear waste transmutation. He leads the MYRRHA ADS Project at a European scale, co-leads EC Framework FP6 and FP7 projects, and chairs the Strategic Research Agenda group of the Sustainable Nuclear Energy Technological Platform. He specializes in government liaison and international research organizations like EURATOM, IAEA, and OECD-NEA.
